La Historia de Lucrecia - Disney

Lucrecia Pérez, a Dominican immigrant, was murdered in Spain in 1992 in a racially motivated attack, marking one of the first recognized hate crimes in the country. Her story is a crucial part of Spain’s history, and it should be treated as such. To educate future generations and prevent such crimes from recurring, Disney will take an unconventional approach to launch its documentary.

Instead of a traditional premiere, the film will be screened in schools across the country. The goal is to turn this documentary into a history lesson by collaborating with the authors of Spain’s high school textbooks, integrating Lucrecia’s story into the curriculum. A formal request will be made to include it in the "Bachillerato", amplifying its reach and impact.

By doing so, Disney ensures Lucrecia’s story is not forgotten, providing both visibility and credibility to this important historical event.
